After moving from his farm 4 1/2 miles south of Beaumont Alfred Dubord built his retirement home one block from the church in 1919. In the 1930’s Léopold Magnan bought the house and it has remained in the family. It has been our hope to ensure that this picturesque home with the green trim is preserved and made available for use as a historic resource.
On Wednesday, October 29th, 2020 the house was successfully moved to the nearby Agricultural Society Fairgrounds. Next spring, when the ground has thawed, a new foundation will be constructed for the house.
